Black in Bowling?

• Favorite headline of the morning: "Bowling Not Always An Option For Blacks." What if it's an option, but it bores you to tears every time you do it? [DFP]

• Your 401(k)? Please don't forget about it. [AP]

• And now for the obligatory Beyonce. She and her mom are launching a line of House of Dereon prom dresses. Oh no yay!

• John Edwards isn't giving up on black voters. It's a good thing, because we're all going to die or go to jail if he doesn't get elected. [CNN]

• Kim Fields got married, and Us Weekly didn't even notice. I wonder why. [People]

If you're bored, you're not drunk enough.

I have the attention span of a toddler and the coordination to boot so it's not the right activity for me.

My dad was in a bowling league back in the 80's and 90's. I loved bowling as a child and teen, and always wanted to have a personalized purple bowling ball. I think there used to be as many as five bowling alleys between SF and Daly City until my teens, and then a few closed. Now it costs too much just to rent shoes and bowl for an hour. Bowling night with disco music and strobe lights is fun, and the only reason I would bowl today.

^^I think bowling is big here. My boy used to do it all the time growing up. He still has his jr. bowling league shirts and some other shit. He still does it over in Pacifica in a Monday Night Football bowling league, but there are no black ppl there (or in his league) so this post is moot. Nevermind.

I've never bowled drunk before. I should try it.
