• Label me a skeptic, but I find it very hard to believe that Solange Knowles' new album is truly "bananas." [BB]

• Michael Vick's sentence might have been harsh, but it was for something he has admitted to doing. It's time for the NAACP to chill with its "the Feds care more about dogs than black people" bit. I'm not sure if they realize it, but their Vick protests are succeeding in making an organization look bad, but it's not federal law enforcement. [NBC12]

• Let's lay it on the table now — a noose is not always a symbol of racial intimidation. Sometimes it's a rope with knots in it. [BG]

• A group of fatherly black men just want to give Dog Chapman a big hug. No, really! [BT]

• Naomi Campbell gets what's coming to her. [SB]

I utterly DESPISE the 'they're just dogs' line that people use when talking about the Michael Vick case.
My goodness, have we (humans) become some heartless and non-caring that we refer to the inhumane treatment and abuse of animals as 'no big deal'? I mean, come on! We're talking about creatures that can't really fight back or talk back to us. The ego really amazes me…

JillyBean819, defenselessness is not a good enough excuse to say why animal abuse should be given preferential treatment. Defenselessness can cited in every case of human abuse / killing, too.

I don't see how ego amazes you. You do recognize that there is a difference, right? That life represents itself in different forms (bee, skunk, Sharpton). There will always be killing, whether its termites or deer or R.Kelly.
