bknowles.jpg• Picket lines? Beyonce doesn't care about no stinkin' picket lines. [LAT]

• Officials at a Colorado school realized that it probably wasn't part of the dream to always send a segregated group to an annual MLK event. [CBS4]

• Hillary Clinton invokes MLK's legacy in Compton. The candidates need to stop "invoking" him, period. But with the holiday around the corner, it's probably unavoidable. [LAT]

• One would expect this sort of behavior from a German "gangster rapper." [PR-I]

Not surprised really by Bey and Grammy's. I just don't see her as a pro-workers kinda gal since they aren't the ones paying her check. I'm sure lots of artists will cross those lines. Actors are obviously more sympathetic.

Candidates need to stop drawing parallels to past leaders. All these candidates (Hill, Obama and Giuliani especially), shut the hell up about who you are and aren't like. Don't tell people about the other candidate. Tell them about YOU and what YOU stand for. I don't want to vote for someone who is like a past president. I also don't want to vote for someone who spends time bashing presidents, even if it's someone as generally hated as Nixon. No more stirring up Kennedy, LBJ, MLK, Nixon, Carter, Reagan or Bill.

By the way, I just gained a bit of respect for Romney for handling a heckler from the AP. A whole bunch of legalese was involved in the disagreement, but he surely told him off. See Hillary? The kitten heel of your sensible shoes in Chris Matthews' eye would have been legendary and fantastic. "Lady balls" in the words of Stephen Colbert.

I'm not surprised at Beyonce either. Not sure if she doesnt care or is just really clueless to workers issues. I remember when she did her deluxe album for BDay and did a video for each song. I read that she (and/or her people) only hired dancers who wouldnt go thru their union so she could pay them less. They had union members stating they tried to convince people not to but it looks good to have you worked for Beyonce on your resume.

I've never cared for her acting. I'm all about the 100lb weaves and booty shake.
