• Michelle Williams isn't getting any play on BET because her album isn't urban enough. [SR]
• Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland encouraging kids to have an open dialog about safe sex and HIV/AIDS. [CL]
• Black men unite against R. Kelly and his ilk. [WAOD]
• Young Jeezy was arrested yesterday, but not for selling coke. [AHH]
• That rumor about Diddy and Tracey Edmonds is supposedly true. Whatever — I can't keep up with either of them. [Bossip]
Michelle is cool, I guess…but why does she always have a lost/puzzled look on her face??
I get the feeling that Michelle might have been better off staying in gospel music post DC. Not to say she was a breakthrough artist in that genre either, we've got so many dynamic gospel artists, but I think sometimes you have to recognize where your gift is. At the end of the day I think she, like many of us, needs to just know her role in life and stop trying to live someone else's dream. Find your own path and run that. I read somewhere that to be successful you don't fall into an established niche but you start your own for people to follow. Michelle and Kelly need to ante-up.
What LP said basically. The gospel seemed to be a good fit for her. It seemed genuine. This doesn't.
Kelly needs new management, some good song writers and a team of great producers.

Because Kelly just said,"Girl, I hope your album do as well as mine."
On the real,
I think Kelly is more rock&roll. Kinda like Kelis, but the record company will not allow her to swing that far right.
Hmmmm. Well, she best pull a Fefe Dobson, not that it's working out that well for Fefe
Of course they aren't going to put Michelle on BET…she's a quality artist! They'll put other 'quality' artists on there, but only if they appeal to the target audience….young, trendy, whatever. If she isn't wearing door-knockers and creating a hot club banger for the masses, BET won't put priority on her.
