As a Beyonce’ fan it sad to say that I experienced Déjà vu’overkill during the promotional period for her last album. “B” was EVERYWHERE and most of her interviews were dry and limiting. As a celebrity Solange is more conversational and free spirited than her sister and I definitely give her brownie points for that! As for the music it took a few spins for “I Decided” to catch on, but now I think it’s a good song. Although I can’t say the same for SandleCastle Disco, ChronicChampangeNightCap and White Pickett Dreams, which I think are all disappointing. I know Solange is a talented singer and songwriter, but I have yet to hear a song that will trigger me to go out and buy her entire album. I hope she has some marketing surprises like remixes or an album re-release in the works because I’m rooting for her.

I'm a fan of Beyonce too, I do like Solange's sound. She's trying to distance herself from her sisters sound, which is good, but her voice isn't as good as Beyonce's. I really like Solange's new single (Sandle Castle Disco) though. I would have to see her live to know what her voice sounds like live.
