Far more effective way to raise awareness and money: get your famous friends together and have a fundraiser of some sort. Friends give you money. Pictures of event posted along with description of spina bifida. Voila! I hope the money is for the 9 other kids because I'm quite sure they can afford their daughter's surgery.
