Poor, Misunderstood Nas

• If you're like Bill O'Reilly and have no earthly idea what a "gangsta rapper" is, by all means, call Virginia Tech and protest Nas's planned performance there. [BOB]

• While I wouldn't describe Remy Ma's current situation as good, things are looking better for her shooting case than they were last month. [NYDN]

• C'mon! Elvis Presley had to have been just a little bit racist, right? [HC]

• FedEx was ordered to hand over $55 million to a bunch of black and hispanic workers who were discriminated against by the company's human resources department. [BI]

• In Massachusetts' universal health care plan ever going to work? Because right now it's kind of a mess. [MSNBC]

As a new residence of Mass, I proudly state that I no longer have health insurance until whenever BC decides to start covering me and couldn't even get an emergency appointment to get a much-needed prescription. Thanks, Mitt Romney.

I can't even make myself look at the Elvis post.

If Elvis never played in Boston, and never went on Edward R. Murrows program (which is easy to prove b/c there's footage of most of Murrow's stuff) then the genesis of the rumors doesn't exist. Obviously that doesn't mean he wasn't a racist - but the whole argument is stupid. The man capitalized on black music, yes, and that's where those rumors came from. Let's be real. The fact of the matter is he played to white audiences who wanted to see a white performer with black soul. They same audience would not pay to see a black performer. Period. And he took advantage of that. That's entertainment. Just like George Michael, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, etc. Who gives a shit if he was a racist? And what does it mean to know? Shit…most of his fans are probably redneck racists. Hahaha. So what?? He rotting in the friggin' ground!
