I hate when people go overseas to speak and help kids when there are kids suffering right here in our own homeland. When someone famous from across the water comes to help the hood, let me know.
Well…Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro did offer to send help to the Gulf Coast after Katrina. I'm sure they would have visited, too, if it were not for those pesky assassination attempts on their lives by the US government.
Though disparities still exist, black brits are significantly better off than black americans in regards to drugs, teen pregnancy, unwanted pregnancy, stis, violence, etc.
"white kids are way happier than minority kids."
Maybe in regards to socioeconomic status. But, I would imagine that black kids have more of a connection to their family than whites. White kids seem to enjoy going to school and blowing away classmates…mostly b/c the parents have no idea what going on in their lives.

Hell yeah, look at the Native Americans. They were royally screwed and now most of them live on reservations and have alcohol problems. Good old USA.
I don't see how black kids have more of a connection to their familes, when most are raised by a single mom/grandmother/cousin, or pretty much anyone minus a father.
These stats don't surprise me at all.
