From CNN.com: "Former Massachusetts Sen. Mitt Romney appears to take a veiled shot at Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, in prepared remarks released ahead of his address to the Republican National Convention Wednesday night — comments the Obama campaign is calling a 'pathetic GOP attack.'
'Just like you, there has never been a day when I was not proud to be an American,' Romney will tell Republican delegates according to advance excerpts released by the Republican National Committee.
Unlike you, there will never be a day when I have $500 M and opt to cut social programs so that me and my rich friends can have some more dollar bills to wipe our a–es with.
There will also never be a day when I change my beliefs because it's politically convenient.
I can't stand this fucking bitch. He needs to fuck off.
Sometimes I think people are more terrified of Michelle Obama being First Lady, than Barack becoming President. The prospect of a black woman running the house Jackie O rebuilt is doomsday to some.
ugh. Let's be real. In any relationship, there are days when you're proud & happy and days when you want to run & hide. Who is proud all the time of EVERYthing someone else does? *ugh @ the fakeness of these rah-rah people* (Not to mention we've been in a war for the last 12 thousand years. You agree with everything about that, Mitt? ugh)
WOW! I thought family was off limits. Barack said as much and today McCain's camp cried about how the media was attacking Palin's family, uh, no, they are doing the job of vetting the candidate, which the McCain camp DID NOT do. As for sista's speech today, I did not hear any thoughts only foreign policy but I did hear something about Russia and oil. So, I have to say with the utmost respect and full of love: Bitch please…
I still can't figure out why people hate her so much…
Sorry, I meant to say "on" foreign policy, not "only" foreign policy. As you can see, the ignorant fool gets me riled up! Stacy…refer to my post…above and below.
The thing that annoys me is how republicans choose to forget. They choose to forget that they have had the majority rule, and have had it since the 90's. And since one of their own and the worst president in history as mucked things up with their blessing, they forget this as well.
And they also forget that McCain has stated that he wasn't such a fan of the US himself until he lost her company. It's the POW thing. Maybe all those crashes were of some intent. "4f my ass already and ground me".
And here he is a man that had a disregard for a land he may lead.
Lemme see. You're a rich white male in a country run by rich white males. She's a black woman from a working class family living in the inner city. Why might she have reasons to view this country differently from you? Why might she have reason to not be proud of this country which only allowed black people full voting rights the year year she was born? And had to fight for it then. I swear I don't get why folks like Romney just can't get it.
@ Khia213 -
Folks like Romney don't get it because their White guilt won't allow them to.
Plus, Romney doesn't believe any of the garbage he spews. Likewise for his political peers.
-Shanti- so true!
I thought families were off limits as well. But Romney and Palin both took shots yesterday. Someone on a blog I read today (don't know if it was here or another site) said that "people in glass houses (Palin) should not throw red, white and blue stones." So true. Oh, the double standard. Why continue to attack Michelle O if you don't want people attacking your family?
