MTV To Encourage A Bunch Of Kids To Be Like 50 Cent

50centshow.jpgInconveniently timed to coincide with the news that a member of 50 Cent's entourage was arrested after whipping a woman with a belt at the rappers mansion, MTV has just announced that 50 will produce and judge a competition reality show on the network, evaluating the contestants on how well they master “skills that took 50 Cent from the streets to corporate America.” Hopefully they won't be required to get shot seven times and then use that as a foundation for their cross-over rap careers. The winner gets a scholarship to an undergraduate or graduate business program. Not mad at the last part.

Will T.I. and 50 Cent develop reality show beef? Oh, who cares.

Does MTV produce anything that actually makes Black people look good? I wish some other channels, even MTV would make some reality shows that inspired positive behaviours and created better role models for people. Maybe you can only have a reality show if you didn't finish school, sold drugs, or have spent time in jail?
