Ne-Yo's Life Story, In Film

Have you ever wondered where Ne-Yo came from, what his pre-fame life was like, and why he used to dye his hair blond? No? Well, you're going to find out anyway. Ne-Yo recently told Rap-Up that he is in the midst of putting together a semi-autobiographical movie called Venice Beach — his own personal 8 Mile.

“We are putting together the next [film] right now as we speak, as a matter of fact. The name of the movie is Venice Beach and basically it’s going to be my 8 Mile, loosely based on [my] life, but not really,” says the 28-year-old singer/songwriter.

Ne-Yo is aiming for perfection with his first feature film since 2007’s Stomp the Yard. “There’s a lot of room for it to be either really good or really corny. We gotta make sure the script is right, so that’s why we ain’t start shooting yet. We gotta get it right.”

Michelle - he has "DSLs" according to a gay friend of mine
If you don't know what it is, you don't need to know. Suffice it to say that he can't help "gay face"

I think I read that he was friends with Jake Gylenhaal as a child. What is THAT about? Why? I'm not a fan. There are few people I can absolutely say I would never want to be friends with. Jake Gylenhaal and his girl are on that short list.

Having to sit through an hour or more of someone else or NeYo himself making that damn pouty lip face is too much for my senses. I can't and Won't!!

Why do all these "artists" under the age of 30 think we give a damn about their autobiographical journey? They haven't even done anything yet. Live and create a legacy first and then, when you're like 75, we might care. Or not. Besides, his delusions of "hotness" are more than I can stand to see in his videos. A movie would push me to upchuck.

well, Americans love reality shows about Z listers. I can see why an A lister would presume that we care.
