Somehow, it's not surprising that the first black candidate for president with a chance in hell of winning is also the first presidential candidate to be assigned Secret Service protection this early in the election. Fox News says Barack Obama's camp requested the protection and was granted it for a number of reasons. According to the Secret Service, this move was not spurred by any specific threats on Obama's life. According to moi, yeah right. We all know this guy's life gets threatened at least 10 times a day.
