One Group Of Florida Middle Schoolers Just Got A Disturbing Lesson

Barack Obama has inspired thousands of people the world over — in good and bad ways. Here's a bit of the bad: Greg Howard, a middle school teacher in Jackson County, Fl., wrote "C.H.A.N.G.E. — Come Help A Nigger Get Elected" on his dry-erase board during his seventh grade social studies class, which included 17 white students, six black students and one Asian student.

Howard was not fired. Instead, he was suspended for 10 days without pay and reassigned to adult education. He also had to write his students a letter of apology. "We feel like the punishment is sufficient," the school superintendent said. "We did not feel he had to be fired." Really? You didn't? [TD]

It shouldn't have to be a crime. It was INAPPROPIATE! They don't let teachers tell students they are gay etc do they?????? There have been plenty of times teachers have been fired for what they do in their private time (one was fired for wearing a bikini on Howard Stern)yet this is OK……..

I was born in Jackson County Florida and not surprise of this comment. I realize that this is a totally redneck panhandle area. It is an embarrassment that we still have racial issues in the 20th century. What a stupid ass cracker..
