The spring and summer season is one of fashion extremes. The dresses are either so short they're bordering on indecent or grazing the ground. If you're in the DC area, Loehmann's has had great maxi dresses recently. If you're in the mood for spending more and want to support a black business, try Pink November in Georgetown or on U Street.

I disagree with your opinion that maxi dresses help out the short ones, I think they just trip on them. Then again, all the way long is better for short folks than the just below the knee look that makes them dump.
