• And of course Fred Thompson also says, "Hell no, I won't go!" [HP]

• Now that you have your star, Jamie, can you class it up a little bit when you're out on the town? Just a little. [EUR]

• 50 Cent cancels some European gigs because of "unforseen and unanticipated circumstances," aka, the dying moments of his career. [SP]

• And did he also cause the death of Vivica's? [BV]

• That's a mighty happy jacket Nas is wearing for his birthday. [SOHH]

Saying Viv is responsible for Curb's terrible season opener is not right. The season opener wasn't funny. Also HBO didn't market the show like normal - I'm long time fan, but I forgot it was on until I saw the record light on the tivo box. Has NOTHING to do with her. I don't think 50 ruined her career. Being an aging black woman in Hollywood ruined her career.

Re Fred Thompson - see my other post.

Re Jamie Foxx - Does everybody get a star now? His body of work is not deserving. He's gonna have to play many more blind men. They just give those things away like candy now.

Fred Thompson might as well put on a klan robe. Have you seen his view points? There has never been a candidate whose policies would cater to wealthy white straight men threatened by change.

Curb is a shit show. There has not been a worse show since Strangers with Candy.

Being an aging IRRESPONSIBLE black woman in Hollywood killed her career. She could of at least parlayed her Kill Bill role into steadier roles but no. She's loopy.

Larry David is brilliant, but, yes, that show is not for everyone. Makes me laugh though! :-)

Maybe she tried to parlay her role from Kill Bill into something? Soon after that is when she started going heavy for the face work and ish, right? I could be wrong b/c I don't follow her all that closely. I think hearing "you're old" after garnering her biggest role got to her. Like it does a lot of actresses. Even Uma Thurman takes shitty roles - and her Kill Bill role was AWESOME. I mean, My Super Ex-Girlfriend or whatever the name of that crappy movie was?? I just don't think it was meant to happen for Vivica, as much as we all like her.

Uma can afford to make poor choices here and there. Vivica cannot.

Viv is a B actress, and always has been. Kill Bill was a one shot deal, and she got lucky. She always seemed more interested in being a star, than a serious actress, which is cool if you're young and white in Hollywood. Neither of which she is.
Dating 50 didn't kill her career, but it certainly didn't help her cachet with studios, or rasie her public profile. Like a lot of black people in Hollywood, she's always been her own worst enemy.

I see Fred Thompson is channeling the spirit of Strom Thurmond. What's with these back pedlaing old white dudes though? Gay republicans trying to blame it on Black intimidation. Now we have people trying to take back "tar baby" comments. These cats need to man up and be who they be.
