I can’t wait to see Viv’s new flick. It’s gonna be a cockbuster…ummm I mean blockbuster for sure. Hahahahaha!
so sad viv…what is she trying to prove and to who???
Those Jersey Reps are damned stupid. It doesn’t cost the state a dime to apologize for slavery. Politicians making brainless statements is nothing new (Dubya), but man that was appalling.
The “no one alive now is responsible” line is so tired. My great-grandmother was the child of freed slaves. Many (most?) of us are not that far removed from that time. Every group of people who have had evils done to them gets apologies, reparations, etc…but us. Hmph.
Why are we asking for an apology? A forced apology isn’t sincere nor true. What is an “apology” going to do? Me receiving an apology for slavery and racism is not going to do me any good. It’s not like an apology is going to let me go on with my life or live any better. I won’t forget about slavery becuz I received an apology. This demand is fruitless. We shouldn’t be worrying about “who’s fault it is”, it’s about fixing what harm was done by it. We can play the blame game forever, but that doesn’t solve anything. The main priority should be to fix the damage that was done.
