"Nazi coochie doctor"
Stupidity has no limits.
Does voting "present" mean you're not going to pick a side and simply want to back out of ever being held responsible for it? Or did he not entirely agree with them (which would justify a "nay" vote and then you explain your decision to any constituents who are pissy about it). This concept is new to me. If you're present, you have to vote. Thought that's how it worked. I was a LWV intern in high school. Maybe I missed a day or something. I don't know enough about that to give an educated opinion. I will say that the fact that he was absent for the Iran vote and criticizes her and the other senators on their vote. That to me is sketchy.
As for the NARAL woman, she's not stupid and I don't buy that she felt "pressured." This is an organization that goes to great lengths to cross all their t's and dot their i's. They have enough interns to do the research and she could make a simple call to NARAL Illinois. That would be absolute minimum due diligence. Planned Parenthood can afford to lose a politician's love here and there. NARAL can not since the media and the general public label them as "pro-abortion."
NARAL is pro-choice, but we are anti-abortion, too.
I know they're pro-choice. The fact that they work on fighting anti-abortion legislation specifically while PP does a bunch of other things too is why they get the "pro-abortion" label.
…inaccurate as it is
Glad you enjoyed that "nazi coochie doctor" bit, blackmistress. LOL
