Pharrell Willams Gets Some Skins

When normal people want to get rid of tattoos, they pay for laser treatments. When Pharrell Williams, who says the ink covering his arms is not appropriate for a grown-ass man — wants his tattoos removed, he goes to an institute to have a skin graft.

"There's an institute called the Wake Forest Institute in North Carolina for Regenerative Skin Treatment," he told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "It's going to be pricey, but … it's worth it. I got fire on my arms, I don't need fire on my arms! I'm a grown man… It's basically like getting a skin graft, but you're not taking skin from your ass or legs - these guys actually grow the skin for you."

Perhaps this should be a lesson to young people who aspire to one day be "grown and sexy." You might not enjoy arms covered in "fire" once you reach a certain age. Skin grafts should clearly be the last resort. [NYDN]

Have we not heard of lasers?!

My boo should not be getting skin grafts. It could end up all scarred and keloid-covered

That's a really drastic step. Wasn't this created for burn victims? So Pharrell is going to waste doctors' time to get rid of tattoos that he willingly had put on his body. Too much damn time and money on his hands? The body is not an Etch A Sketch.

if you dont want a tattoo later in life, then dont get one. Why the hell can't young people realize that tattoos are PERMANENT and for LIFE!!!

I know a lot of older punk rockers in their 40s and 50s who have wonderful tattoos that have deep meanings for them, and they don't regret getting it.

Folks need to realize that tattoos aren't for everybody. It's not some "cute trend," people.

I don't think anyone wants a tramp stamp on their body at 30. Hell, I don't want it at 24, but I wanted one at 18. Fortunately, I had the good sense to have my roommate draw it on. It might look hot at 18 when you're dancing in a cage or while you're making out with a gay dude in a club bathroom, but it's not so hot at 20 when you're a little grown and sober.

He should do like Angelina, remove it with lasers and cover it up with something.

Honey, we need to talk ^^^ cause you are living life :)

Well there is removable tatoo ink on the market now. So the days of permanent tatoos are long gone.
