Ah, a while back, there were these folks from SOHH who got wind of some white supremacy message boards who were talking about some comments Nelly allegedly made regarding Faith Hill. They proceded to ride on them purely for the lulz, creating a bunch of fake profiles on several WS sites that they used to ridicule the posters with avatars of white women having interracial sex with black men, and rude/satirical comments. This was one of the most hilarious things that I've ever seen on the Internet. They may have done it again since then, and this may be some kind of retaliatory measure taken on the part of the racists, or it may have been one of the other groups who loves to do this kind of ish randomly.

veeery interesting. not that i tolerate racism in any way whatsoever, but i hold a grudge against hiphop and its implications about black, so any kind of "terrorist" attack on such a site gets SILENT approval from me. also, and i know what im saying is problematic, but they did put a lot of effort int this attack and the humor could be worse.

Well, I'd say you're pretty much tolerating racism if you're giving a 'SILENT approval' to white supremacist.

It doesn't matter how silent or loud your approval is josh. Your approval remains. You're just as racist as them. You're not different. You might be worse cause you like to keep your approval silent.

There's been some racial issues on SOHH before - not from hackers, but from posters. I've been working 2 gigs and out of the blog loop for a couple of months, but I used to read SOHH on a daily (ok, not quite). There was always some type of crazy e-thugging from racists on there. I could never figure out though if it was just kids fucking around b/c it was all pretty juvenile. Clearly, these perps were not kids though.

The site was taken down not because of racism, but because members of the sites sub-forum "Just Bugging Out" called out anonymous and started talking trash. We rose to their challenge and responded in kind.
