Rewound

Asking for your favorite songs in open threads is partly a ploy to get some Rewound tips. Yesterday, I found at that at least two readers think Onyx's "Slam" is one of the best hip hop songs ever made. Where there's two there's more, right?

If VH1 can pick "Baby Got Back" to be in the top 20, then "Slam" should be on that list too.

I still have a soft spot for "I'm Bad" by L.L. Cool J: the track suit, the kangol, the atttitude — plus, it was the first rap song I ever heard. It'll always be my favorite hip-hop song of all time.
