The 1994 flashback continues this morning with Bone Thugs N-Harmony's "Thuggish Ruggish Bone." Listening to the song and looking at the group, it is hard to believe that these Cleveland rappers have sold 35 million records worldwide, spawned a sing-rap style famously adopted by Ja Rule and more famously ridiculed/appropriated by 50 Cent, and just released an album — minus the booted Bizzy Bone — that the New York Times didn't hate. In light of all of this, I thought it was only appropriate to hit you with a Bone Thugs throwback, and since I hate "Crossroads" with a fiery passion, "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" it is. Try not to sing the hook too loudly from your desk at work. Your boss won't understand.
I LOVE this tune (hate Crossroads, too)! I hope they are financially set, and have some happy realization of what they have contributed to the music world.
