Three weeks after signing into law a Hitler-ey mandate that prevents whites from fully owning businesses in Zimbabwe, the iron-fisted Robert Mugabe, ruler of the African nation for almost three decades, has lost the presidency by a landslide, according to the opposition party.
The Movement for Democratic Change says its candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, has gotten 58 percent of the vote compared to Mugabe's 37 percent. But the government body tasked with tallying the votes says the MDC is celebrating too soon, as official results have not yet been reached. Bad news for the opposition, because the 84-year-old Mugabe has before won elections he shouldn't have—threats of starvation and murder can be convincing.
We'll let you know when we hear who officially won or when the first shot rings out (hopefully the former).
After the jump, Mugabe's claim that, if he's practically Hitler, he's going to be the best almost-Hitler he can be.
I don't doubt that he has done evil things but he is only give the people what beloned to there ancestors. Imagine if we went to Paris and took the best land and tried to claim it as our own.
