Star Jones Finally Divorces Younger, Gayer Husband

The rumors about Al Reynolds sexuality have dogged him and Star Jones since before they even got married, and now it's all over. There's no telling if Al's rumored extracurricular activities are what caused Star to finally file for divorce a month ago, but who are we kidding? Here's what she said to Entertainment Tonight:

"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts… I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."

This statement is filled with good advice for publicity hungry celebrities (I'm talkin' to you, Eva Longoria-Parker) — if you don't want the press to cover your ~~inevitable~~ possible future divorce, you shouldn't invite them all to the wedding.

No, love. You made an error by marrying Al. Inviting the media to feast on the carcass wasn't smart, either. See, there might not be such a thing as bad publicity, but there can be too much.

As for those arms, we have a charming term for them in the UK: Bingo wings. Older/flabulous ladies have them and when they get a full house and wave their arms… wobbly arms that look like wings.

Star loves the spotlight. If you were that distraught you would not have issued any statement, none, zip, nada. Just handle what you have started.
