It took the McCain campaign an unprecedented amount of time to unveil Sarah Palin's interview chops to the public, but a few weeks is not enough time for a person to brush up on complicated foreign policy matters about which she knows and cares little. This was quite obvious during the first installment of Palin's interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson. She seemed nervous, and her answers were so rehearsed that she often repeated whole phrases over and over. You could tell which questions she had been prepped for and which ones she hadn't. After the jump, reason No. 1 why her advisers shouldn't have let her convince them to relax and enjoy some mooseburgers instead of completing that lesson on the Bush Doctrine. At least she knows what it is now.

In Israel for the country's 60th anniversary yesterday, George W. Bush went on the attack, comparing Barack Obama and man in the Democratic party to Nazi appeasers. He's been blasted for the past 24 hours by analysts and Democratic politicians alike, who have questioned not only his presentation of the facts but the inappropriateness of presenting false, partisan attacks against American politicians on foreign soil. And also — Bush criticizing another's foreign policy? Please.
