Just hours ago (yay Internets!) Bible-thumping quitter Mike Huckabee addressed the National Rifle Association convention in Louisville, Kentucky, where he offered up this bon mot when a crash offstage interrupted his speech:

That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair, he's getting ready to speak. Somebody aimed a gun at him and he dove for the floor.

Ha! Get it? People want to kill Barack Obama because of his liberal gun policies. And some people want to kill him because he's a powerful black man. Isn't that hilarious?

Thanksgiving was a lonely affair for T.I., who withdrew his request to have his bond agreement loosened for the holiday so that he could have a sit-down dinner at his home. Hopefully he had at least one person with him yesterday, when feds filed some papers that surely will not help his illegal weapons case. Not at all.

According to papers filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Atlanta, prosecutors will attempt to present evidence showing the hit-making emcee illegally possessed firearms three times prior to his highly publicized arrest last month.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the priors show T.I. has a history when it comes to illicit weapons.

Save pleading temporary insanity and blaming his illegal purchases on an uncontrollable, insane gun fetish, it doesn't look great for him. Although, he says he looks forward to telling his side. Don't we all look forward to hearing his side? [E!]

Dear T.I.,

So jail, huh? Not to rub salt in, but I guess you're sort of used to it by now. But that's where I'm confused. Considering your history with the penal system, I would think that you would be a little more careful about actions that might get you thrown back into it. Like, maybe you could have had someone else pick up the guns you had your bodyguard illegally procure. Or maybe you could have just not bought them at all, particularly if, as some claim, your interest in machine guns with silencers ("no flash, no bang," right?) was purely from a "collector's" standpoint. You don't sound like a gun collector in this verse from your song, "Live in the Sky."

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution has some photos of what feds found in T.I.'s house and car. When did T.I., who was denied bail, have his last live performance? We should probably savor that moment, since it's looking like that's the last we will see of him for the next, oh, 10 or so years.
