Yay, Alicia! She got it right at last night's annual "Black Ball," a benefit for the Keep A Child Alive charity! Finally. And even if you don't like the dress, you have to admit that at least she didn't get it wrong. Her stylist did it for the children. More pics from the ball after the jump. CONTINUED »
Wasn't I just talking about the power of song? Akon is using it in his new track, the creatively titled "Sorry," in which he apologizes to a number of people he has wronged and gives backhanded apologies to even more, but only because the actual perpetrators refuse to take the blame. That's sweet. Anyway, Akon shouts out his wife(s) and kids (because he's never home), Gwen Stefani (for bringing scandal to her tour), and the 14-year-old girl he humped on stage (he makes sure to add that it was really her father and the club's fault).
The kid he threw off the stage last week is going, "What am I, chopped liver?"
Actually, it's more likely that nobody really cares. But after Akon's whole "simulated sex with an underage girl on stage" debacle, my guess is that big corporations don't want much to do with him. Verizon, the first to jump ship, announced that it's no longer sponsoring his tour. Akon was opening for Gwen Stefani, who is losing Verizon's support by association. All is not lost, because they surely can find some other sponsors. Something tells me Boost Mobile wouldn't mind sloppy seconds.
