» LL No Longer Rockin' With Janet

The vertigo that sidelined Janet Jackson for weeks is finally gone, but now her tour has another setback. The opening act checked out. LL Cool J, who was opening for Miss Jackson, bailed due to "unnamed scheduling conflicts." Is the Rock Witchu tour doomed to fail? [AP]

Really, you're nobody these days until you have a YouTube channel where you post inane video blogs whenever you so desire. Jermaine Dupri? He's somebody. He posted a video this week of himself and Janet Jackson, who has recovered from her vertigo and thanks you for all of your kind wishes. They're cute together at the end of the short video, when she tries to put makeup on him and they joke about how he threw up on her at the club a few weeks ago.

» Illness Revealed

What's been keeping Janet Jackson from honoring her tour commitments? Her rep says she's been having vestibular migraines, which cause vertigo. "[Janet is] a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect," manager Kenneth Crear said in the statement. "She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again." She's scheduled to finally resume her tour in DC tonight. [People]

Tyra Loves Janet. A Lot.

No one knows what ailment is causing Janet Jackson to cancel so many stops on her Rock Witchu tour, but after viewing a clip from her recent appearance on the Tyra Banks Show, I have a theory. Tyra drove her crazy. Didn't Janet learn from her last Tyra interview?

Watch the ridiculousness, including Tyra forcing Janet to get in bed with her to fulfill men's fantasies, after the jump.

» All Better

Janet Jackson caused a ruckus recently when she was rushed to the hospital during a sound check at her Montreal tour stop and then postponed a string of performances in Montreal, Greensboro, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Ft. Lauderdale. But now she's apparently over whatever was ailing her and is "excited" to resume her tour in Connecticut this weekend. "Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," concert promoter Live Nation said in a written statement. We're Talking Janet's Bro, Not The American Idol Judge

Is Janet Jackson exhausted? Is she pregnant? To hear her brother Randy Jackson tell it, Janet Jackson didn't go to the hospital and cancel tour dates for either of those things. She has vertigo, he told www.MichaelJacksonInsider.com. It's iffy how much meaningful communication goes on in the Jackson clan these days, so I'm going to put Randy's explanation on the shelf with the other maybes. Meanwhile, her reps haven't disclosed what's ailing their client. They probably won't.

Romeo's Rough Time

• It's tough being a child star and a college freshman. So far, Lil Romeo has had three high-priced bikes stolen at USC. [EUR]

• Tsk tsk tsk. Jermaine Dupri didn't exactly rush to Montreal when Janet Jackson got sick Monday. [E!]

• By the way, that "illness" that sent Jackson to the hospital and is causing her to cancel shows is rumored to be pregnancy. You're not really famous if someone, at some point, doesn't start a rumor that you're pregnant. [NB]

• The court will forgive Game for his involvement in a post-funeral brawl with his cousin if he will take 36 hours of anger-management classes. Good call. [TMZ]

Concert Goers Will Miss Her Much

Due to her mystery illness, which an anonymous source called "getting old" yesterday, Janet Jackson has postponed two more of her shows.

The 42-year-old singer fell ill during a sound check in Montreal Monday and was rushed to the hospital. The Montreal gig that night was canceled, and now Jackson's reps have announced that tonight's Boston show and tomorrow's performance in Philly will be postponed while she recuperates. So far, her Greensboro stop on Saturday will go on as scheduled. [Us]

» Janet Jackson's Not Sick, Just Exhausted And Old

Janet Jackson was released from a Montreal hospital yesterday, just two hours after rushing there when she fell ill during a sound check. Her rep is staying mum about the cause of the hospitalization, but a source close to Jermaine Dupri told Perez Hilton, "A 42-year-old body can't handle what a 22-year-old body can. I can tell you that she's definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn't the same as it used to be."

In news that is hopefully unrelated to Jermaine Dupri throwing up in her lap, Janet Jackson got sick during sound check on her Montreal tour stop and had to check into the hospital.

The 42-year-old is still being monitored at the hospital, but no more information about her condition has been released. Her rep says she hopes to reschedule the show. [People]

Mama Said Knock Jessica Simpson Out

• LL Cool J is said to be "furious" that Jessica Simpson's debut country album did better than his new album. Furious, maybe, but is he surprised? [Bosh]

Keep It Moving

Some reviewers of Janet Jackson's new tour say that she can move as well now as she could during the "Rhythm Nation" days, which we all know means she's moving very, very well on that stage. Need a reminder?

» Janet Jackson Now Label-less

Janet Jackson has officially "been released" from Island Def Jam, where her man JD works, because the label was not "promoting her music." Producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins broke the news, saying that Jackson asked to be released from her contract because the label was not supporting her the way they should support someone of her "magnitude." Is Janet Back?

Say what you will about Janet Jackson, one thing she's always been able to do is put on a show. According to Canadian newspapers, she did just that when she launched her North American tour — her first in six years — there week. During the show, she performs 30 of her songs, including "Rhythm Nation" and "Let's Wait Awhile," and has some "sexy S&M" moment with an audience member.

But "The most memorable moment of the show," writes Marsha Lederman of Canada's Globe and Mail, "came when Jackson, dressed in a gold and black glam hip hop-inspired track suit (and one gold glove) … listened to the crowd roar its approval and became emotional – really emotional. We're talking tears. 'Thank you,' she said, seeming to really mean it, as she waved her hands, begging the audience to stop."

"Nipplegate" Now Just "Nipple"

Four years after Janet Jackson's infamous Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction," a federal appeals court ruled that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing a $550,000 indecency fine to CBS. "Like any agency, the FCC may change its policies without judicial second-guessing," the court said. "But it cannot change a well-established course of action without supplying notice of and a reasoned explanation for its policy departure." In other words, that split-second flash of JJ's breast was not worth all of that drama. Agreed. [Breitbart]

Thanks, Khia.
