Really, you're nobody these days until you have a YouTube channel where you post inane video blogs whenever you so desire. Jermaine Dupri? He's somebody. He posted a video this week of himself and Janet Jackson, who has recovered from her vertigo and thanks you for all of your kind wishes. They're cute together at the end of the short video, when she tries to put makeup on him and they joke about how he threw up on her at the club a few weeks ago. |

» Illness Revealed
What's been keeping Janet Jackson from honoring her tour commitments? Her rep says she's been having vestibular migraines, which cause vertigo. "[Janet is] a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect," manager Kenneth Crear said in the statement. "She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again." She's scheduled to finally resume her tour in DC tonight. [People] |

» All Better
Janet Jackson caused a ruckus recently when she was rushed to the hospital during a sound check at her Montreal tour stop and then postponed a string of performances in Montreal, Greensboro, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Ft. Lauderdale. But now she's apparently over whatever was ailing her and is "excited" to resume her tour in Connecticut this weekend. "Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," concert promoter Live Nation said in a written statement. • Tsk tsk tsk. Jermaine Dupri didn't exactly rush to Montreal when Janet Jackson got sick Monday. [E!] • By the way, that "illness" that sent Jackson to the hospital and is causing her to cancel shows is rumored to be pregnancy. You're not really famous if someone, at some point, doesn't start a rumor that you're pregnant. [NB] • The court will forgive Game for his involvement in a post-funeral brawl with his cousin if he will take 36 hours of anger-management classes. Good call. [TMZ] |

» Janet Jackson's Not Sick, Just Exhausted And Old
Janet Jackson was released from a Montreal hospital yesterday, just two hours after rushing there when she fell ill during a sound check. Her rep is staying mum about the cause of the hospitalization, but a source close to Jermaine Dupri told Perez Hilton, "A 42-year-old body can't handle what a 22-year-old body can. I can tell you that she's definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn't the same as it used to be." |

The 42-year-old is still being monitored at the hospital, but no more information about her condition has been released. Her rep says she hopes to reschedule the show. [People] |

Some reviewers of Janet Jackson's new tour say that she can move as well now as she could during the "Rhythm Nation" days, which we all know means she's moving very, very well on that stage. Need a reminder? |

» Janet Jackson Now Label-less
Janet Jackson has officially "been released" from Island Def Jam, where her man JD works, because the label was not "promoting her music." Producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins broke the news, saying that Jackson asked to be released from her contract because the label was not supporting her the way they should support someone of her "magnitude." "Nipplegate" Now Just "Nipple"
Four years after Janet Jackson's infamous Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction," a federal appeals court ruled that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing a $550,000 indecency fine to CBS. "Like any agency, the FCC may change its policies without judicial second-guessing," the court said. "But it cannot change a well-established course of action without supplying notice of and a reasoned explanation for its policy departure." In other words, that split-second flash of JJ's breast was not worth all of that drama. Agreed. [Breitbart] Thanks, Khia. |
