Fun While It Lasted

diddycassie.jpg• Cassie confirmed her breakup with Diddy recently, even though there was never a confirmation that they were together. Although, it's not like it wasn't obvious. [NB]

• From the Real World to the House of Representatives. [C&D]

• There will be a woman, and a black woman at that, on a presidential ticket this year. She just has no chance in hell of winning, that's all. [WAOD]

• Oh to be a celebrity who just gave birth… [TMZ]

• Brown people mustn't look too suspicious when doing their personal banking. [RR]

Just In Time For March 4th!

Will.i.am is back with his second breathless Barack Obama video. This one's called We Are the Ones and features Tichina Arnold, Kerry Washington, Macy Gray, Regina King, George Lopez (smart move, Will!), Jessica Alba, that guy from Ugly Betty, Ryan Phillipe, John Leguizamo, Zoe Kravitz, and more. Undecided voters are powerless before the persuasive powers of Will.i.am and his cadre of celebs!

Kerry Washington put on her best ladies-who-lunch dress for a celeb-studded Glamour party yesterday. In case you were looking for an update, Kerry recently did a political-themed fashion spread (or a fashion-themed political spread) for the New York Times Magazine. Also, Naomi Campbell had to pull out of Spike Lee's historical drama, The Miracle at St. Anna, and guess which better-qualified actress has taken her place?

Back to the Glamour luncheon: more pics after the jump.

Last night, stars came out in droves for the Fashion Rocks concert. Most of them looked adorable (see Mary J. Blige in her cute Bonnie & Clyde look) and others need to start looking for new fashion and/or hair stylists. You'll know who I'm talking about.

But I'm Sure They Won't Invite Him Onto 60 Minutes

  • Funkmaster Flex encourages everyone to start snitchin'. [HHN]
  • Now we're blaming hip hop when young black people get into car accidents. [FH]
  • Vanessa Williams, Nick Cannon, and Regina King are all getting HIV tests to encourage other African Americans to get tested. I had a Nick Cannon/Kim Kardashian line I was going to use, but I don't like to joke about HIV. [PC]
  • It's either time for Lauryn Hill to get a new stylist or at least invest in a flat iron.[C&D]
  • Wow! Is Jessica Alba's proud of her Mexican heritage or what? [MG]
  • Don't Worry, It Will Be On 10 Times A Day For The Next Two Weeks

From the picture, can you guess which song Rihanna sang at the MTV Movie Awards last night? Although the penultimate episode of the Soprano's series pulled me away from the awards early, I did get a chance to listen to Rihanna sing Um-ba-rella (not so well, if you ask me) and watch Sara Silverman try her hardest to make Paris Hilton cry. I've always felt that the MTV Movie Awards were too scripted and completely pointless. The snippet I saw last night validated this. The Chicago Tribune has a nice rundown of the event in case you missed it. Check out more pics from the awards below.
