There are many things one can say about "our" network, BET, but a positive thing I can say is that I generally find the BET Awards far more entertaining than any award show MTV ever puts out. The show airs tonight, with performances by Lil Wayne, Usher, Alicia Keys, Al Green, Chris Brown, and others, but last night everyone's favorite network president Debra Lee hosted a pre-show dinner in LA. A glowing post-engagement Jill Scott was in attendance, along with Ashanti, Nelly, Soulja Boy, Eva Pigford, and Robert Townsend. Eclectic pre-party crowd.

Gentleman, be on the lookout for the May issue of Allure magazine. Gabrielle Union and Jill Scott, along with Angie Harmon, Ana Ortiz, and Zoe McClellan all posed nude for a pictorial that celebrates the "various shapes of the female body."

"Here I am, naked in a magazine at size 16," Jill Scott told People. "We are all beautiful, each and every one of us."

Jill Scott, who recently graduated from being a singer to being a singer/actress, is now a singer/actress/bra designer. The Butterfly Collection By Jill Scott, which is geared toward plus-sized women, will be sold at Ashley Stewart stores. Apparently, she was driven to participate in the collection because of her love/hate relationship with her ginormous boobs. Allow her to explain:

"I have large breasts," Scott said in a recent interview. "I've been blessed with them, and I need something that can support (them)."

She's had bras custom-made and has even worn two at a time - "a bra for lift, and one for shape," the 35-year-old Grammy-winning singer and actress said. But still no relief.

Scott says she once considered a breast reduction, but decided against it because, "without being too graphic, [she and her breasts have] had fun!" [CP]

Why Did I Get Married? It's a question Janet Jackson has asked herself at least two times in her life. It's also the name of the new Tyler Perry film, which premiered in Hollywood last night.

In attendance were the rest of the cast and friends, including Barry Bonds and his pleasant-looking wife, who's probably asking herself that big question right about now, as well.

Jill Scott, whose IMDB page is steadily growing, shows off her acting skills in her new video for "My Love." Jill, who's obviously still reeling from her divorce, does a nice job, but where's the trademark hair?

Jill Scott, who tells all about her recent divorce in the September issue of Essence, has a word for the haters in her new video.

I've always found both Jill Scott and her music to be absolutely lovely, and I wish I could get a dose of her boundless confidence. Her newest album, The Real Thing (Words And Music Volume 3), is out September 25 and will be available in a B Day-style deluxe edition with videos.
