» Nothing Racist About Movie Star Arrests, Say Cops
The Shreveport, Louisiana, Police Department is defending the officers involved in the late-night arrest of Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright last weekend. According to reports, cops tasered and pepper-sprayed the two actors when they were not resisting arrest and hurled racial slurs at Wright. The PD says none of this happened. I don't think I'll be giving the cops the benefit of the doubt on this one. How about you? [EUR] |

That scuffle with Shreveport, Louisiana locals and police officers that resulted in the arrests of Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Wright and several others associated with the film W? Turns out it began after a good ol’ Looziana boy hurled a racial slur at Wright. |
» Not The Wright Stuff
Jeffrey Wright, aka Basquiat, Martin Luther King, Jr., Tony-winning thespian, etc., was arrested along with his W costar Josh Brolin and several crew members after a bar fight in Shreveport, La. The men are in town shooting the Oliver Stone-directed George W. Bush biopic (Brolin's W, Wright is Colin Powell). Apparently, they all interfered with the arrest of a disorderly crew member. Wouldn't we all like to see the actual G.W. in jail? [CBS] |
