A good woman is so hard to find. That's why 40-year-old Bishop Thomas Weeks, who was left by his last wife, televangelist Juanita Bynum, after he, uh, beat her up in a parking lot, has taken to his Web site to find himself a new wife. Preferably one who believes in second chances. In a webisode, Weeks, who is currently on probation, details a few minor requirements for his next wife. She just has to be able to have children, be "very discerning and very intimate and very social and very sensual and all of those other things," plus she can't be ugly. Stop! In The Name Of Love

• I don't really keep up with the televangelist set, but apparently Juanita Bynum and her abusive ex-husband are just getting more and more ridiculous. [C&D]

• "Northwestern University withdrew its offer to give the Reverend Jeremiah Wright an honorary degree at this year's commencement because of the controversy over past sermons by the former pastor to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. … Wright's invitation wasn't rescinded because of his views. Rather, Northwestern President Henry Bienen didn't want to compromise the celebration." [NPR]

Televangelist/domestic abuse victim Juanita Bynum was supposed to talk about her public beating by her husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks, but really she basically says she will never stop loving him. Aren't relationships grand?

Forgive me for not posting this yesterday, but I'm afraid I had no idea who Juanita Bynum was.

I guess this is what happens when you don't keep up with the Pentecostal evangelist/feminist movement. Apparently, the fiery minister, who is well-known for encouraging women to leave dead-end relationships, didn't take her own advice. She was publicly beaten by her estranged husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks, in the parking lot of a hotel where they had just eaten dinner.

He surrendered to Atlanta cops today. So I'm guessing the church show this Sunday will be a rerun?
