Chris Rock talking to Larry King about Barack Obama:

Um, you know what? I'm proud Barack Obama's running for president. You know? If it was Flavor Flav, would I be proud? No. I don't support Barack Obama because he's black… I introduced Obama at the Apollo Theater not too long ago. I think Obama would be great. I mean, just look the big thing right now is the economy. And people are going broke. And here: The choice isn't Republican or Democrat. The choice is you got a guy that's worth $150 million with 12 houses against a guy who's worth a million dollars with one house. The guy with one house really cares about losing a house, because he is homeless. The other guy can lose five houses and still got a bunch of houses. Does this make any sense? Am I the only one that sees this… I'm just saying, John McCain could lose half his houses… And sleep well.

Dr. Jan Adams' visit to Larry King Live last night was as brief as it was pointless. The scandal-plagued doctor, who had the distinct misfortune of performing plastic surgery on the mother of one of the world's most beloved recording artists the day before she died, went on the show simply to tell Larry King that he was "wasting air time" and would not discuss the case out of respect for Kanye West and his family.

"Out of respect for the West family" might be a nicer way of saying that one of the West lawyers sent his lawyer a letter stating that if Adams went on Larry King the West family would lobby the California Medical Board for his decertification. So big bust for Larry! He probably wouldn't have said anything we didn't know, anyway.

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, done with her much-publicized Miami vacation, goes on Larry King Live tonight to do her favorite thing — assail Eddie Murphy's character. Hey, the guy kind of brings it on himself. Uber-attorney Gloria Allred will be in attendance to, of course, twist the knife whenever possible.

I Will Miss Talking About You As If I Don't Secretly Love You

We've only got five years to prepare for this, and we should have started, like, yesterday. In 2012, when her contract is up, Oprah Winfrey is leaving her show. I know! It's hard for me to wrap my brain around, too. And her post-television host gig? Catching child predators, according to an interview she did with Larry King Tuesday.

If she has to go, and I guess it wouldn't have made sense for her to host her show until the day she died, devoting her life to a noble cause is in keeping with my super hero (that I love and sometimes love to hate) vision of Oprah, and I approve. I imagine Oprah scouring the country in a child predator-catching uniform, which, in my head, is Indiana Jones-esque, busting down doors and making citizen's arrests. Maybe Gayle can be her sidekick. In reality, she will probably be putting her dollars and influence behind better legislation, but I like my vision better.
