buchanan.jpgNeo-nazi radio programs are completely acceptable venues for men who hold on-air positions on major news networks to promote their revisionist history World War II books, right? Right? I mean, obviously it's acceptable. Otherwise MSNBC would have gotten rid of Pat Buchanan by now. He appeared on the aptly-named Political Cesspool a couple of weeks ago to talk about his book, Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War: How Britain Lost Its Empire and the West Lost the World. The stated mission of the show is to "represent a philosophy that is pro-White" and "to revive the White birthrate above replacement level fertility and beyond to grow the percentage of Whites in the world relative to other races." Other recent guests on Political Cesspool include Willis Carto, whom TNR calls the most prominent anti-Semite in America, Mark Weber, the director of a Holocaust-denial organization, and Jared Taylor, the editor of a eugenicist publication. Pat Buchanan fits in with this bunch of fringe loonies, but why on earth do network execs continue to think a guy like this fits in at MSNBC? [TNR]

But Especially Pat Buchanan

matthewspat.jpg

The senseless blubbering, the misplaced anger, the confusion, the over- and under-reliance on polling data, the twin evils of tiptoeing around racial topics and treating them with no care or nuance or sense of history, all of the things present in this clip between Pat Buchanan and Chris Matthews represent everything that's been horribly wrong about the cable news coverage of Hillary Clinton v. Barack Obama. The irony is clear — two well-off, educated, elite, white men, from their vantage points in air-conditioned, big-city studios, are arguing passionately about the motivations of poor, uneducated whites in West Virginia and blacks in Philadelphia.

patbuchanan.jpgPat Buchanan is just sick and tired of black people, from Barack Obama's infamous Rev. Wright to Barack Obama himself, talking about why they harbor a very specific sort of resentment for whites and are often generally displeased with the United States government. According to Pat Buchanan's syndicated column titled "A Brief for Whitey", we should be thanking white people. On our knees, no less. Because as bad as things might have been here, it could be worse. We could still live in Africa.

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American…

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

It's time Pat learned that we aren't only bitter, irresponsible, lazy, inherently violent, and stupid, we are also totally ungrateful. So he shouldn't hold his breath waiting for that "thank you."

patbuchanan.jpgPat Buchanan had a lovefest with Sean Hannity on Fox News's Hannity & Colmes Monday as they discussed Buchanan's new anti-immigration book, Day of Reckoning: How Hubris, Ideology, And Greed Are Tearing America Apart , which is basically a white supremacy manifesto. Care for a couple of excerpts? Check them out after the jump!
