Little comes between celebrities and their personal electronics, which is why they are posing at the launch party for a new BlackBerry with the same enthusiasm as they would on the red carpet at the Oscars. Unfortunately for them, none of these stars are Oscar-caliber — although some have more potential than others. I guess that's why they are this happy to be at a cell phone party.

With his basketball season over, Kobe Bryant spent some quality time with his wife Vanessa and oldest daughter, Natalia, at the premiere of the third installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, a movie sure to knock Shrek off of its box office pedestal as soon as it opens in theaters. Entertainment Weekly threw a party last night to celebrate the network upfronts, and someone who should have been a happier camper was Taye Diggs. His Grey's Anatomy spinoff show, tentatively and unfortunately titled, Private Practice (cringe), is a sure thing for next season. Okay, so maybe he doesn't have to look happy, but he could have at least put on something over his undershirt. And wife Idina Menzel could be a little more excited for him, too.

Celebrities. As soon as they get famous enough to buy whatever they want, they recieve everything for free. It's one of life's many cruelties. This weekend, they got to go to Paradise Island to attend what appears to be a rather random gathering of famous people celebrating the opening of the Cove Atlantis. Disturbingly, one of the parties required disco gear. I need to never see Usher and Tameka Foster in afro wigs again. And notice, he ain't with his mother on Mother's Day. Drama!

If you're a huge Prince fan who can't make it to London for his new concert series and are worried about the rumor that he'll be singing his greatest hits for the last time (impossible, I think) while he's there, I have a solution for you. It's called 3121, and it's the Purple One's new fragance, described as "a kaleidescope of rich florals." Spray a little on your pressure points, put on a ruffled blouse and a purple, feathered eye mask, pop in Purple Rain and you'll feel like you're there.

As part of an Glamour-sponsered Internet contest, Ciara will direct the promo video of an up and coming artist. Wouldn't it be better if the unknown artist if Ciara appeared in the video? I don't know, I guess that's why I'm not a marketing executive. Anyway, Ciara appeared in all of her newly feminine glory on TRL yesterday with guest-host Rihanna. A self-satisfied-looking Mims was there, too.

No, "Radiculture" is not a made-up word to describe the outfit Cee-Lo wore to Jane Fonda's Georgia Rule premiere in ATL last night, it's the name of his brand new record label. According to AllHipHop, the label will focus on developing up and coming artists. Knowing Cee-lo, he should be coming up with some acts that are almost as eclectic as his fashion sense. The annual Costume Institute gala was held in NYC last night, and many of our brightest stars came out, although I'm not sure why some were invited. I've been missing the glamorous, evening gown version of Jennifer Hudson since awards season ended, so I'm thrilled to see her in formal mode.

The vast majority of the pictures from the Tao Beach Grand Opening festivities in Vegas over the weekend are pretty ridiculous, and the one above says it all. It screams we're-rich-and-powerful-and-drunk-and-our-girlfriends-aren't-here, doesn't it? I couldn't justify giving the photo of the two of them holding stacks of cash (I'm serious) the place of prominence in the post, but check it and others from the weekend out after the jump.

Kerry Washington was chosen by People magazine as one of their 50 most beautiful people. She deserves it, don't you think? Can you tell I love Kerry Washington and hope that one day she can get a role that doesn't require her to be the lead character's wife even though I know that can't happen until someone starts writing some quality roles for black actresses? Well, if it wasn't obvious how I felt, then it is now.

Iman hobnobbed with the rest of the rich and fabulous at a charity dinner party last night. It was a foodbank thing. Or something. Sorry, I'm distracted by her skin. It's completely flawless, and I may know why.

For a couple of weeks, I've been using Iman's Second-To-None Luminous Foundation ($14.99, Walgreens), a foundation powder flecked with shimmer that makes your face glow (in a good way) and adds enough light coverage to smooth your skin tone without looking like pancake makeup.
