Typical of Bad Boy's late-90s silly excess, the extended version 1997's "Been Around the World" video is … silly and excessive. But with Vivica Fox, Quincy Jones, Wyclef, Jennifer Lopez, a pre-born-again Mase, and Diddy when he had a lot more hair, it's pretty entertaining to watch.

Mariah Carey looks amazing when she is fully clothed in an outfit that fits her and not making mysterious appearances at ceremonies for jury duty commemorative stamps. She was honored at last night's VH1 Save The Music 10th Anniversary Gala and chose her look accordingly. After hearing Mariah was going to do the full-coverage thing, Mya might have felt like she needed to bring some skin to the classy affair. Dear Dads,
I did it for the mothers out there, and I feel like you guys, particularly my dad (at right, with me and my sisters), would be pretty unhappy if I left you out on your special weekend. And I admit I've been hard on you recently, focusing on paternity scandals and those of you out there who are deadbeats or absentee, instead of highlighting the positive. I'll try to do better.

Congrats to good dads everywhere, and to all the celebrity dads out there, from new dad LeBron James, to all-around good father Will Smith (but shield your kids from showbiz, please!), proud dad Quincy Jones, Barack Obama, and Matthew Knowles, for being nothing if not business-minded. And lastly, thank you to my father, Dr. Aldred Williams, the best, hardest-working daddy a girl could ask for. Happy Father's Day!

The Cannes Film Festival, the most well-known, prestigious, and posh international movie biz event, started a week ago. I've waited so long to post pics because, beyond hundreds of photos of (my girl crush) Kerry Washington looking impossibly glamorous (see above), the party has been a little light on revelers of the brown-skinned variety.
