Celebrities: They're just like us! Common folk across the nation are getting into big mortgage trouble, and Damon Dash and Rachel Roy, who apparently just signed a $4 billion licensing deal, can feel their pain. A bank is suing the Dashes for failing to pay the mortgage on two high-priced Tribeca condos.

On their way to Kanye West's various birthday parties last night, Usher and Rihanna stopped at an event for Cartier's LoveCharity bracelets, 18k white gold bracelets with different colored accents to represent various charities. Here's more information if you're interested, and check out more pics from the party below. Pay particular attention to how happy Rachel Roy looks to be with Damon Dash.

P.S. Why does Rihanna look like a mannequin sometimes?

Call me cheesy (it wouldn't be the first time), but I kind of love celebrity offspring. Much to my delight, a bunch of them came out for a special screening of Surf's Up, an animated "mockumentary" about surfing penguins. Whatever happened to the fairy tales of my generation? A question for another time, perhaps. Anyway, here's Tiki Barber with his little ones. Rachel Roy, Al Roker, and Veronica Webb were also there to teach their kids how to take advantage of perks related to their parents' celebrity.

It looks like Damon Dash is mad that he's going to owe the government quite a bit more than he's getting back. He's pointing a finger, in the form of a $3.5 million lawsuit, at his celebrity accountant, Barry Klarsberg.

Klarberg - whose celebrity clients also include singer Justin Timberlake and Rangers great Mark Messier - allegedly botched Dash's New York and New Jersey income tax returns for 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Other alleged offenses by Klarberg include miscalculating how much Dash owed in 2005 and not telling him how much he made from the sale of one of his companies. In recent years, Dash has pawned off his Roc-A-Fella Records label and Rocawear clothing line. Klarberg, who wrote "Winning Tax Strategies and Planning for Athletes and Entertainers," is a financial adviser to more than 600 jocks, actors and wealthy families.

"It is possible for some entertainers and athletes to be living high on the hog one day and down with the hogs the next," Klarberg once said.

My, how prophetic Klarberg's words were. Whether Dame wins this case or not, I wouldn't worry about him. Rachel Roy has obviously taken over the role of breadwinner in the Dash house.
