Wherein you, the readers, talk amongst yourselves.
It's hard to watch celebrities like DMX fall off the deep end, and you've got to wonder why someone in their lives hasn't successfully intervened. If you could send a celebrity or famous person to rehab (or a psychiatric hospital), who would it be?
On the seventeen-year anniversary of Rodney King's police beating heard 'round the world, I wondered what he was up to — besides getting shot while cycling drunk, that is. Thanks to TMZ, I now know that he is living in a house with a porn star and the guy who sang that stupid "Butterfly" song for Dr. Drew's new VH1 rehab show called Sober Living. First Dr. Drew saved Judy Winslow, now he's moved onto Rodney King. This man is a saint. [TMZ]
When you're a blatant drug and alcohol addict who sings about her refusal to go to rehab in her most famous song, you've got to expect a major fanfare when you overdose (but blame exhaustion), and you actually do end up in a rehabilitation facility. I wonder how many spins her song gets on the radio today.
And Lets Her Obvious Personality Disorder Off The Hook
Maids and assistants everywhere can rest easy. Without the negative influence of alcohol, Naomi Campbell will not physically assault you. You see, Naomi recently diagnosed herself as being allergic to alcohol. When she did those terrible things, like throwing a cell phone at a maid's head after accusing her of stealing a pair of jeans, she was having an allergic reaction. Like when some people eat peanuts and break out in hives, Naomi drinks alcohol and breaks…things. Conveniently, this allergy wraps all of her previous transgressions in a nice little package. It's perfect! And if she sends another service person to the hospital, all she has to do is go to rehab for a month or so. Based on current Hollywood rules, all will be forgiven.
