50 CENT TELLS US SOMETHING WE ALREADY KNOW — which is that Rupert Murdoch isn't paying him $300 million for anything. A rumor that 50 Cent was signing a mega-millions deal with Myspace to rival Jay-Z's Live Nation collabo is just that, 50 Cent said. [SP]

Unsubstantiated Rumors

50rupert.jpgIf the rumor floating around is true, if, indeed, 50 Cent is about to ink a $300 million, 360 deal with arch-conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch's Myspace to rival Jay-Z's measly-by-comparison $100 million deal with Live Nation, then this would be huge, ground-breaking, major front-page news. Considering the source of the information, and that it's not on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, it's probably safe to consider this rumor patently false. Too bad, though. 50 Cent and Rupert Murdoch seem like they were made for each other.
