Most videos of Sinbad on Youtube that I found had the "embedding disabled by request," meaning I can't post them on the site. And I was thinking, really? Sinbad's serious like that about his YouTube clips? I would think it's a good thing to have them circulating, but whatever. As a result, the above video from some New Jack Swing-era episode of the Arsenio Hall Show looks pretty bootleg. But it's a snapshot in time if I've ever seen one. Plus, I really wanted to get a video of Sinbad up since he's been in the news so much lately. Friday night on Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher said that while Hillary Clinton might have landed in Bosnia under sniper fire, Sinbad just parachuted to earth in his pants. Tavis Smiley was the only one on the panel that got the joke.

Last week, when Sinbad delivered a half-joking/half-serious critique of Hillary Clinton's description of a Bosnia trip — also attended by the comedian himself and Sheryl Crow — as harrowing, dangerous, and a good example of how she's prepared to lead, I thought it was funny but that it would end there. Then, much to the Clinton campaign's chagrin, the Washington Post decided to do this weird thing called "fact-checking" and found that "there are numerous problems with Clinton's version of events," particularly the part of her story about landing at the airport under sniper fire and running for cover. The video of the welcome ceremony tells a different story, although her campaign says that edited video footage does not show the full picture. For her part, Clinton acknowledges that she probably "misspoke."

Sinbad, Dionne Warwick, and OJ Simpson all appear on the California Franchise Tax Board's list of delinquent tax payers. According to the the state controller, a lot of people pay their back taxes before the list is revealed, due to embarrassment. But we all know OJ has had a bit on his mind, and Sinbad's been fielding all of those death rumors, and Dionne Warwick's son might have married Bai Ling. How can we expect them to be thinking about their taxes during these troubled times?

Still, everyone, even people who are now or used to be celebrities, need to pay their taxes. And here's the worst part: Out of the three, Simpson owes the government the least. Now, that's embarrassing.
