Senator Ted Kennedy's hospitalization for a seizure turned into something much more serious today when doctors announced he was suffering from a malignant brain tumor. According to CNN, Kennedy's colleagues in the senate are "stunned" — apparently McCain got all teary-eyed. "I would not be sitting here as a presidential candidate were it not for some of the battles he fought as a senator," Barack Obama said. "He battled for voting rights and civil rights when I was a child. I stand on his shoulders."

The New York Times endorsed Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination last week, but yesterday the op-ed section carried an impassioned endorsement for Barack Obama from none other than Caroline Kennedy.
