In lieu of postponing the blog to deal with our financial crisis, I thought we'd just have an open thread about it. Do you think that the government should use $700 billion of our collective money to bail out these financial institutions?

Usually, these photographic "look backs" focus on female stars. After I downloaded all of these photos of Denzel Washington, I realize why. Checking out women's fashion and hair styles over a 20-year period is a lot more amusing. That said, it is interesting to see how much Denzel has shown no obvious signs of aging over the past 22 years.

It was a year ago this week that thousands of people descended upon Jena, La., to protest the judicial treatment of six black teens who beat up a classmate and were subsequently charged with attempted murder. Now that we've had a year to reflect, do you think the uproar over the Jena Six changed anything in the justice system? Was it worth it?
