It was family day in LA this weekend at the premiere of Madagascar 2. Kids are cute. That's all.

Toni Braxton said she reached her goals on Dancing With The Stars, which I guess that means she's handling her dismissal from the show last night better than Kim Kardashian did. Braxton, who suffers from a heart condition, said, "My goal was reached. I wanted to do better. I wanted to breathe better. And I was definitely breathing better. I've come a long way from Week One to Week Now." I've made too many "Breathe Again" jokes on this blog. So I'm going to let that one go.

Is it just me, or was Toni Braxton always running dramatically in slow-mo in her early videos? Maybe all of the jogging she did in the '90s is helping her stamina on Dancing With The Stars.

TONI BRAXTON'S VEGAS RUN ENDS PREMATURELY Toni Braxton, who has a documented heart condition, has been forced to cancel her Las Vegas show at the Flamingo casino so that she can focus on her health. The show was supposed to run through August. "Upon learning several weeks ago of Ms. Braxton’s health concerns, our first and foremost consideration was her well-being," said the president of the Flamingo in a statement. "We have truly enjoyed having her as our resident headliner and continue to wish her a full and quick recovery so that she may resume doing what she loves best, entertaining audiences.” [PH]

Had I known what day they were filming Tyra's special "on the road" show in NYC, I would have made a mental note not to leave the house. But it looks like no one was harmed in the filming of this pointless episode, during which Tyra drives around in a shiny Chrysler that screams "product placement," conducting interviews with people like Toni Braxton while simultaneously navigating New York traffic.

BRAXTON'S HEALTH WOES Toni Braxton is canceling her shows at the Flamingo Hote-Casino in Las Vegas for the rest of the week, after chest pains earlier this week caused her to check into the hospital. "We're going to go ahead and cancel her shows … for the rest of the week," a rep for the Flamingo Hotel-Casino, where Braxton has a regular Vegas gig, told the Associated Press. "We expect she'll return to the stage next Tuesday." Braxton has suffered from pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.

Toni Braxton's been having some heart trouble, and, as I was informed in the comments section, this song is a much better way to illustrate that than "Breathe Again." Duh! Enjoy the melodrama — and Tyson Beckford! — with your morning coffee.

NO BREATHE AGAIN JOKES Toni Braxton, who has had a history of heart problems, has been hospitalized in Las Vegas with an "unknown ailment." Doctors say it's not life threatening.

So I made one corny joke a few days ago, and this song has been stuck in my head. Check out the snoozer (you've gotta give me a little more than a period outfit and some slo-mo jogging) of a video for Toni Braxton's "Breathe Again," and celebrate her being the picture of perfect health, corny jokes, and the start of a long weekend.

Contrary to the rumors that have been furiously circulating the Internet and reported in the ever-reliable National Enquirer, Toni Braxton does not have breast cancer.

“There has been a rumor circulating that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. After feeling something uncomfortable in my left breast, I went in for a screening. I was very fortunate that they did not find anything and I am in great health. However, I encourage women to take their annual tests and suggested precautions to prevent this disease that continues to affect so many women.”

Phew, I was worried for a while there. Now, I can breathe again.

Toni Braxton ordered $35,000 worth of clothes for her on-going Vegas show but only paid $20,000. And that's after the first check she wrote bounced. So says her pissed off wardrobe designer.

According to court papers filed on Friday, Anthony Franco was commissioned by Braxton and Liberty Entertainment, Inc. to design the entire wardrobe for Braxton's "Toni Revealed" show. Franco claims they agreed on a price of $35,000. Franco alleges that he received payment by check, which was returned for "insufficient funds." He then alleges the defendants put a stop payment on the check.

Clearly, we haven't heard Toni's side of the story, but when you've already filed for bankruptcy once in your life, it's probably best not to write checks that are going to put your bank account on E. That's all I'm saying.
