DON'T FORGET ABOUT MY CHARITABLE WORKS! Yung Joc simply can't understand why the media is paying so much more attention to the fact that he tried to bring a loaded gun onto an airplane in his carry-on bag than all of his charitable works. Neither can I, YJ, neither can I… |

IT'S GOING DOWN Yung Joc was nabbed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Sunday for trying to take a loaded gun onto an airplane in his carry on. Maybe he was so busy trying to pour all of his toiletries into regulation-sized bottles he forgot about that deadly weapon he accidentally left in his backpack. Or maybe I'm giving him too much credit. The rapper was freed Monday on $50,000 bond after he was formally charged with the felony. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday. Happy Kwanzaa, Yung Joc! Update: Yung Joc skipped his arraignment on felony gun charges this morning. He's not being considered a fugitive, and his bond had been raised to $100,000. |

50 Cent, Kanye West, Diddy, and Jay-Z, despite the fact that none of them are actually on the Screamfest tour, appeared onstage together at last night's show in NYC. When 50 shares a stage with one guy he has steadily talked shit about for the past couple of weeks and another two he claims not to like, you pretty much realize that everything 50 does and says is for publicity. That's if you didn't realize it already. Whether you like the people in the picture or not, it was a pretty big moment — orchestrated by actual Screamfest performer, T.I. — for 20,000 audience members in Madison Square Garden. Check out more pics after the jump. CONTINUED » |

Unfazed by his impending court date — although, come to think of it, he's had five years to get used to the idea — R. Kelly joined Ciara onstage during the Scream Tour's Chicago show. If she was about three years younger, I would be worried about this little collabo. After the jump, check out more pics from the show, including one of an overzealous fan being carried away from T.I. by security. CONTINUED » |

I promise I'm not out to lambast BET at every opportunity, but last night I caught a minute of Take the Cake, the network's new game show. It was truly, mind-numblingly, awful. And Toccara's voice is kind of like nails on a chalkboard. Plus, the set is so low budget! Speaking of low budget, the performers on the Screamfest 2007 tour stopped by 106 & Park's "new" set, which looks like it cost BET about $100, yesterday. Check out pics of Ciara, Lloyd, Yung Joc, T.I., Rocsi, Terrence, and the cheapo 106 set after the jump. CONTINUED » |

Men's fashion at an award show such as this is harder to judge, because many of the attendees arrive in the same clothes they would wear to the grocery store, the club, or the annual pimp convention — none of which are good looks. Don Cheadle, who won the humanitarian award for his work in Darfur, looks pretty dapper (and he gave a great acceptance speech). I can't say the same for all of the guys in attendance. See for yourself after the jump. CONTINUED » |

The Tribeca Film Festival and The Radio One Springfest
Kerry Washington was chosen by People magazine as one of their 50 most beautiful people. She deserves it, don't you think? Can you tell I love Kerry Washington and hope that one day she can get a role that doesn't require her to be the lead character's wife even though I know that can't happen until someone starts writing some quality roles for black actresses? Well, if it wasn't obvious how I felt, then it is now. Here she is arriving at a Tribeca Film Festival party Friday. Check out more pics from the festival and the Radio One Springfest after the jump.
