Terrence Howard's Music Video Debut

In the interest of fairness, I'm not even going to begin to critique Terrence Howard's new song "Sanctuary" or the video for it. You probably know I'm biased when it comes to this subject. I will say that, unlike Howard's acting talent, his singing skills can be quite easily denied. Let me know what you think.

He doesn't have the greatest voice, but the music was interesting and, I thought, quite pretty–very light and airy. Did he write it?

He just reminds me too much of someone that would raise his hand to his wife. And his voice is forgettable in a land where we have some pretty amazing voices. I think he should stick to his day job.

I feel the same way as Michelle. It seems like a nice song, I mean the voice isn't the best, but whose is nowadaze? It sounds fine but now that I know it is him I just think, "baby wipes." LOL!

He's not the best singer in the world, and he definitely didn't need to conduct the orchestra towards the end — that just comes off as pompous. But the lyrics and production were solid. Also, I like that he tried s.t. different. Cool points for that, b/c it's brave in this industry to do the unexpected. Song: very romantic, very sweet, nicely produced given the singing quality. Video: really pretty, nice production-design, wish it had been a bit more dynamic. Terrence Howard: enh.

My mother and I were in the car and this song played on the radio. The DJ revealed the singer's identity, and she said "Terrence Howard can sing?" I said, "Ah…. he's acquired a record deal. Let's just say that."
