It's one thing to encourage your supporters not to like your opponent, it's another thing entirely to incite a mob. John McCain looked only momentarily befuddled yesterday when he asked the question, "Who is Barack Obama?" and someone in his audience yelled back, "Terrorist!" Yes, he looked perplexed for a moment, but just like when a supporter referred to Hillary Clinton as "the bitch" while asking him a question during a town hall, he said nothing in response. In the absence of any real foothold on the hot-button economy issue, John McCain is desperately trying to move the campaign narrative to "character." Is that topic any safer for him?
It's not just John McCain — his campaign is doing its best to arouse intense hatred for Barack Obama wherever they go. At a Sarah Palin rally in Florida yesterday, someone in the audience yelled "Kill him," when she brought up Barack Obama and his association with William Ayers. The audience taunted the media, which Palin basically said was out to get her. At one point, the Washington Post's Dana Milbank reports, Palin referenced her Katie Couric interview and supporters turned toward the press area and yelled at reporters, hurling obscenities and racial slurs. Remind me to stay way from Palin rallies. This is really, really disturbing.
Wow. This is deep. Really really, disturbing. I would agree.
look, I said it before and I'll say it again: JUST FREAKIN' LEGALLY CHANGE THE PARTY'S NAME TO THE REPUBLIKKKANS, JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR ON THAT, OK?
It's not disturbing to McPalin or they would be speaking out against it. Apparently they are not the mavericks they proclaim to be, if they can't even change the tone within their own rallies.
Well, if any of them GOP chumps step out of line, KNOCK'EM BACK IN!!!
this is so upsetting. if mccain or palin had half the integrity or morality that they claim to possess, this issue would have been address and a stop would have been put to it at their rallies. shame on both of them. they disgust me.
Man, McCain's campaign continues to just get more ridiculous. I hope this kind of behavior loses him more supporters than it picks up.
This remind's you of the stories your grandparents told you about in the 40's and 50's how they would rally up a mob and attack blacks and those in the forefront would do nothing to stop it But, then talk about loving god.
JUST SAD
That is a great point RainbowFish. The hypocrisy of that blows my mind an no one has called them on that yet. If you are so moral and upstanding how can you let "followers" call a fellow American whom you have worked with a terrorist.
It just shows how terrified some whites are about letting a black person run this country. It never ceases to amaze me the hatred that still exists.

not me. i see traces of it everyday.
