The NAACP Image Award nominations are out, and although every black person who appeared on screen this year seems to have been nominated, The Great Debaters, Girlfriends, and Everybody Hates Chris. The TV and Movie nominations are after the jump (you can find the literature and music categories here), but here's a little tidbit to whet your palate. Angelina Jolie was nominated for her role in A Mighty Heart, which goes to show that the NAACP Image Awards are fair game for people of color and people who impersonate people of color in their films. Man, have we come a long way in the entertainment biz!
