Uh, oh. Now the Jesse Jackson is in on the U.S. Secret Service drama. He caught word that he was mentioned in some of the court filings in a racial discrimination lawsuit that accuses the Secret Service of mistreating black agents. Big mistake.
Rev. Jackson's dealings with the Secret Service date back to his two campaigns for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 1980s. He actually asked for and was assigned protective details before other candidates back then.
The Secret Service e-mail, obtained from a court filing in Washington, was titled "The Righteous Reverend," and jokes about the deaths of Jackson and his wife when a missile strikes their plane. The e-mail ends with, it "certainly wouldn't be a great loss and probably wouldn't be an accident either."
Now, Jackson has requested to read every S.S. correspondence concerning him and his family dating back to the 1980s. He's convinced the "Righteous Reverend" email wasn't a one-time thing. That's probably a good guess.
The Secret Service is charged with investigating threats, not initiating them. This gives you some sense, some insight, into what may be taking place there," he said. "The Congress of the United States has oversight responsibilities and we're going to be looking very carefully at what's going on there."
One things for sure, if this Secret Service lawsuit was flying under the radar, it won't be anymore.
Funny how the email mentions a airplane "accident"? Isn't that how Ron Brown died about 10 years ago?
Sweet Diva,
Oh, that so is not funny. And so scary cause it makes you wonder.
khia213, it does make you think.
Hell, I thought that ish was fishy when it went down. No mechanical issues and it just goes into a mountain? Right….. I'm certainly not surprised by the emails and what they point towards since this is America. Funny how they questioned Michelle Obama's lack of steadfast pride in this country when stuff like this exists within our government. I pray they have some good agents protecting Obama & his family because this doesn't look good at all.
Have you guys ever heard of Cointelpro in the FBI?
It worked. If it worked why would they stop the program. Our government is fishy and racist, I'm waiting for the rest of the black community to wake up.
I thought about Ron Brown too.
