The View Women Stick Up For Their Own

The ladies on The View disagree about religion, abortion, politics, and the shape of the world, but one thing they all agree on is that Whoopi Goldberg, as the first black person and woman to host the Academy Awards, should have been included in a montage of past Oscar hosts during last nights ceremony. This is actually sort of touching. Goldberg certainly thinks so.

They were acting like they'd eat her shit if she let them.
I'm just glad that Whoopi cut those damn dreads and updated her look. Vast improvement.

I stopped watching awards shows a long time ago. While the whole Ted Danson in blackface turned me off, I do recognize Whoopi's significant contribution to Hollywood. I also thought it was a bit insulting for her not to be included as one of Oprah's legends (considering they worked together on the Color Purple). I guess she's too outspoken and daring for a lot of folks. While I've never watched the View, I'm glad her co-hosts spoke up about the slight.
