The democratic primary will drag on until everyone hates both Obama and Hillary. McCain will become president, die of a heart attack a fit of rage in his first month in office, and Condeleeza Rice will be the first female black president. Then she will bring peace to the world just as she brought peace to the Middle East.

What do I win?!

Wow. As much as I wanted this mess to end, I'm happy for what looks like a win for Clinton. F— Howard Dean and all the idiots who think she should quit. It's the principle of the whole thing. Regardless of how I feel about a candidate, my respect for them drops significantly if they don't fight on. Really, if you weren't going to, why the hell would you enter the race to begin with. It's like training for the Boston marathon and deciding to sit it out after mile ten.

Ok well how much sense does it make to continue a race that numerically, you can not win? All while bashing the other candidate mercilessly to the point that he/she may not have a chance to beat the Republican nominee?? how important is wining and when is it time to recognize the truth and do what's best for the party that you claim to love so much????

jess2much4u, I agree with you that it's pretty much impossible. I also want this mess to be over because I am tired of all of them. Sh has a chance in hell as far as delegates go so why not? Swift boat was merciless. This is no swift boat by no stretch of the imagination.

Looking historically, I don't see any times in which candidates in such situations were told to quit. She's not shooting for the VP position so what does she have to gain?

Why should mommy sacrifice for the family? Hmmm. Well, she doesn't feel like it. Do you think she (or Obama) loves the Democratic party enough to martyrn herself for its benefit? Hell no. If situations were reversed, I wouldn't want Obama to quit. Why should he? Well, why should she? Strategically… well, perhaps there is the problem. The Democratic party doesn't have a strategy and is a complete joke. This has been very obvious for the past six months at least so as far as this race goes, you've got two people doing their thing and people can pick a side. IF they had a strategy, they and the rest of their "party" would be launching a strong joint attack on McCain. He seems committed to f-ing things up for himself though so I guess it isn't necessary.

If Hillary's campaign vs Obama causes him not to beat McCain then he wasn't that good of a candidate in the first place. Keep in mind that this has been pretty tame. Since when did Americans get so soft? Jesus.

If race baiting is ever considered "soft"…..well….

I guess it's a moot point since I understand that BMD doesn not acknowledge race baiting by the HRC campaign (despite being in the minority).

I have spoken with Black HRC supporters who acknowledge it but say "it's just politics". For those in this category, it's truly sad to accept it! If evoking negative race relations/reactions is accepted to win a nomination -well for anything it's truly a sad day for all of America!

I should point out that one of the Black HRC supporters that did agree that race baiting was going on within the HRC campaign was a politician!!! (for whatever that's worth)

And to BMD, I am not trying to start a debate with you about whether race baiting is taking place within the HRC campaign- was just pointing out that I have a different opinion that you and cannot begin to see things through your eyes or anyone else's. I can only tell you what I see and have heard the majority of Blacks say.

Again, my problem is with suporters of any race, origin, ethnicity etc that see race baiting and have no problems with it.

BMD I don't think Hillary should quit but she needs to stop throwing so much shade on Obama(and he likewise). If only they spent more time talking about what they plan to once they take office. Their television ads should be used to spread a positive message about their visions for this country instead of the constant garbage.

Chic,

I think Hillary did a good job of that in her acceptance speech last night. Let's see if she can keep it up. She has done this before (during victorious moments) but it doesn't seem to last over a day or 2!
