I'd have to say the war AND the economy…equally, because the war and its financial, human and diplomatic costs are creating such a huge drag on our economy.
Healthcare!! Right now my son lost his state sponsored medical insurance(that I paid a premium for) because we make $60 too much. I am at a loss what to do now, because between appointments and meds my son has about $2000 a month in healthcare needs that would not be covered if I were to be able to get him private insurance. I am disabled and my hubby's job doesn't offer insurance for anyone but the employee. The short version is WE'RE SCREWED!!
The war. I am tired of these soldiers and their families that suffer so much while being overlooked for their sacrifice. The environment would be an extra bonus.
the worrying state of employment, fair wages and a basic standard of living for hard-working people in this country. then the "war" because i think that we got all up in that crap without thinking about all the veterans created. which will affect not just the economy but healthcare.
Bolstering and protecting women's reproductive rights is not only at the top of my list, it's the only thing on my page. Page 2: peak oil addressed as more than a theory, but as the possible end of modern civilization. The economy is important, too, but we are in an economic downturn and I don't see how any of the candidates can do much. Peaks and valleys…and we are in a valley. Healthcare is important - my niece and nephews do not have it and I am always fearful of them getting ill.
ChicNoir- That is the part that sucks. He works a revolving 3 on 3 off schedule. Some week he has overtime and others he doesn't. One month we qualify and the next we don't because of his revolving schedule. The problem is tat they certify 3 months at a time, and take an average of your previous 3 months pay. I have applied for disability medicaid for him as he has some pretty significant health needs. I just hope it goes through. Only time will tell
I would have to say healthcare. Huge issue that affects Americans tenfold. That is my biggest concern, how are they going to tend to healthcare?
Economy
Mainly the war. The war should be addressed first because that is affecting our economy, but the economy is a very close second.

Oooo. I better stay in Massachusetts. 2 w00ts for reasonably priced and otherwise government subsidized health insurance + parity laws.
w00t w00t!
The war might be #1 for me if I thought there was anyone with a "good" plan, versus "bad" and "less bad" plans.

1. Healthcare
2. Student loans and education
3. The economy
4. women's reproductive rights
I can't really say which is more important as I care about each one deeply.
5. The loss of manufacturing jobs in the USA.
Stacy, is there any way that your husband can cut a few hours per week so that your son will qualify for state insurance again?

I hope it goes through for your son's sake.
